Want some cheese with that whine:

When a spouse, good friend, or someone of importance is having a bad day and groaning about it, we seem to have little tolerant sympathetic comforts that we hand out. We say things like, “Aw, poor baby, It’ll be all right, or You’ll feel better if you just forget about it.” When thing go wrong for me like falling off a roof or being buried under a truck load of gravel, Avon just shakes her head and says, “Life ain’t easy for a boy named Lou.”

Dr. Love:
This letter just came in from Bob in Keokuk, Iowa.
Dear Dr. Love: My wife is learning to play the bagpipe. It’s the only thing she has on her mind, and all she thinks about it day and night. What can I do? Bob
Dear Bob: Get a plaid skirt, learn to jig, and let nature take her course. DL

Life is much too important to be taken seriously.”
