Musical car parts:
Back in the '60s was a singer named *Freddy Fender a.k.a. Elvis of the Rio
Grande. He was some sort of a Tex-Mex Rockabilly mixture, with only one top ten
to his credit. I often wondered if his band members also had automotive names.
I can imagine him introducing his band as Carlos Carburetor on lead guitar,
Tommy Tailpipe on bass, Harvey Hubcap on drums, and the girl background singer
as Brenda Backseat.
*Actually, Freddy Fender took his
name from his Fender Guitar.
